There is good news for those who are looking to join the famous Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) as they have announced recruitment for Archaeological Officer under Tamil Nadu General Subordinate Service. Candidates who have a master degree in Ancient History or Tamil awarded by any of the University recognised by UGC and postgraduates in epigraphy and archaeology can apply. Also, postgraduate diploma holders in archaeology awarded by archaeological survey of India can get a prestigious position in the government sector. One of the eligibility criteria also states that candidates must have passed Tamil as one of the subjects at degree level. Also, the upper age limit of the applicants must be 30 years for candidates not belonging to SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC and BCM category. A total of 18 vacancies have been announced by the Commission, and the competition is high. The last date to apply is December 27.
